New Members Join Leadership Team
We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our newest Leadership Team members: Newsletter Editor Sharon Tinianow, and Membership Coordinator Jessie Foster!
Sharon Tinianow is a relative newcomer to Colorado having moved to Denver in 2012. She is from Columbus, OH where she was the Director of Sustainability Initiatives at the Center of Science and Industry. She is currently serving as a consultant on a project that will establish school gardens in Ohio and Washington, DC. Sharon volunteers as an assistant naturalist at the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory, a field trip guide at the Denver Botanic Garden and a stewardship educator at Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado. She holds a Master’s Degree in Ecological Teaching and Learning from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation from Kent State University. Sharon and her husband enjoy hiking, birding, and Nordic skiing.
Jessie Foster is a Certified Interpretive Guide who enjoys sharing about nature and Colorado history with others. In her spare time she is usually out hiking with her dog Aspen in the beautiful Rocky Mountains or touring a local museum. She says she loves Colorado because there is always somewhere new to explore.
